What You’ll Be Doing
The IT Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the school's IT infrastructure. Delivery will support the effective and efficient day-to-day activities of students, teachers and administrative staff.
What skills and experience you’ll bring to the role
* Proven experience of delivering customer focused IT service
* Strong technical understanding of IT systems
* Experience of first line support to end-users
* Experience (or demonstrated understanding) with IT service desk tools and ticketing systems to accurately log, track, and resolve user support requests
* Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software and network systems
* Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
* Good judgment in determining when to independently troubleshoot and persevere through technical issues, versus when to escalated to senior IT staff
* Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
* Familiarity with educational context desirable
