Manpower is recruiting a Plant Operations Manager who will oversee and manage an award winning Anaerobic Digestion Plant based in Lisburn.
This innovative plant works under a sustainable model, converting waste to energy which powers both site electricity and a fleet of CNG Gas Trucks.
As Plant Manager, you will have oversight and operational control of the plant, responsible for providing a safe working environment while developing efficient and reliable processes. Reporting to company Directors, you'll manage a team of staff to ensure the plant meets KPI's and compliance requirements, bringing to life continuous improvement and growth.
Suitable candidates will likely come from a manufacturing/ production or engineering maintenance background with experience managing teams and ideally Lean / Six Sigma knowledge.

The Role:
1. Effective leadership of the plant team
2. Responsible for all health & safety and conformance protocol
3. Maximise plant and resource efficiency for continuous improvement
4. Responsible to ensure all repairs and maintenance upkeep of the plant
5. Responsibility and reporting of all operational records, trend analysis, KPI's and P&L to the board & senior management to meet the required deadlines
6. Ensuring accuracy in reporting, developing and integrating of all regulatory submissions
7. Strategic and innovative involvement for future projects, expansions and business success as part of the leadership team and business group.
8. Ensuring the plant maximises all gas productivity and efficiency, mitigating financial loss and to continue to supply our main operations through integration and scheduling for fuelling GAS powered vehicles across the company
9. Developing and implementing daily, weekly, monthly and annual production schedules to ensure the continual growth and reliability of the plant to meet all projected targets.
10. Procuring process equipment and taking overall responsibility for maintenance of the plant and the Technical department.
11. Monitor all standards and quality control to all regulatory standards for conformance
What we are looking for:
12. Proven Management experience in a similar role within a production/ processing environment or the production of green energy
13. Excellent management and leadership skills to motivate and build others within your team
14. Strong communicator at all levels, communicating any problems or obstacles to senior management that can impact the operational needs of the plant and group, working through challenges
15. Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
16. Able to use various scientific based tools to analyse, identify and report key trends and data to make effective and key decisions with accountability to the board.
17. Proficient in the use of Microsoft and other IT systems
18. Excellent time management with flexibility in working hours to achieve success
19. Experience working with P&L, KPI's, CAPEX, OEE and PO system, R&D, ROI and Projects for sustainability
