Supplier Quality Engineer
Full Time, Permanent
37.5 hours Monday to Friday
Home based with travel to Bridgwater & supplier sites.
£60,000- £65,000 + Car Allowance

We are partnered with a tier 1 engineering services provider who are part of the exciting Hinkley Point C nuclear power station build. They are currently looking to add a supplier quality engineer to their team on a full time, permanent basis.
The role will be home based with travel to Hinkley Point C (Bridgwater, Somerset) and supplier sites across the UK and EU (Primarily UK).
The Role:
As an SQE, you will assist the SQM in all areas related to supplier quality. You will be responsible for ensuring that the products and services provided consistently meet the requirements of each project.
You will serve as a vital link between the organisation and its suppliers, overseeing performance and contributing to the development and qualification of both new and existing suppliers.
You will work as part of a diverse, cross-functional team, collaborating with suppliers to implement best practices that focus on defect prevention, reducing variability and waste, and driving continuous improvement to meet customer expectations
The Requirements:
* Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead auditor with extensive experience auditing to the standard
* Good understanding of core manufacturing and inspection processes and protocols such as Fabrication, extrusion, coating, NDT
* Understand the concepts and applications of problem solving and improvement tools.
* Ability to lead and facilitate improvement projects
* Degree qualified or minimum 3 years Quality/Supplier Quality or equivalent experience within a regulated industry
Desirable
* Experience within the Nuclear sector or other regulated industry (desirable)
* CQI, IRCA, ASQ CQE or equivalent membership (desirable)
