Air Conditioning Engineer – HVAC | Commercial Buildings Role Overview We are recruiting an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a nationwide M&E contractor delivering maintenance and installation works across commercial building environments. The role involves servicing, repairing, and installing a range of HVAC and air conditioning systems across client sites such as offices, retail premises, and care facilities. You’ll be responsible for ensuring systems operate efficiently, safely, and in line with FGas regulations, while delivering a high standard of technical service across a varied commercial portfolio. This is a field-based position offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work with leading manufacturers including Mitsubishi and Daikin. Key Responsibilities Air Conditioning & HVAC Maintenance * Service, maintain, and repair commercial air conditioning systems * Carry out installation works on split systems and VRF/VRV HVAC equipment * Fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of AC systems * Ensure systems are operating efficiently and safely * Work with leading manufacturers including Mitsubishi, Daikin, and similar Site-Based Delivery * Attend multiple commercial sites including offices, retail, and care environments * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs * Complete electronic job sheets and service reports accurately * Communicate professionally with clients on-site Operational Responsibilities * Maintain company van, tools, and equipment to a high standard * Manage workload and schedules across multiple sites * Ensure compliance with FGas regulations and health & safety standards * Participate in ongoing training and development Requirements * Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or HVAC Engineer * FGas Category 1 qualification * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Ability to work independently and manage a field-based workload * Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach * Full UK Driving Licence Package & Benefits * Salary up to £49,400 per year (including paid travel time) * Overtime opportunities available * £100 per week on-call allowance * Company van with fuel card, laptop, and smartphone * Up to 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) * All specialist tools supplied (excluding hand tools) * Ongoing training and development opportunities * Access to company perks and discounts scheme Additional Information This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer looking for a varied commercial field role with stability, technical variety, and long-term development within a nationwide M&E business
