Robert Half Technology is assisting a market-leading financial services organisation based in London to recruit a 1st Line Support Engineer for a 6-month initial contract. The role requires onsite presence in London.
Role
1. The 1st Line Support Engineer will be the front line for call resolution regarding all IT-related issues within the organisation.
2. Responsible for standardisation, provisioning, and support of desktops, laptops, and applications.
3. Support of all workstations, Surface Pro devices, laptops, and mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.).
4. Manage Active Directory user accounts, access, and network administration according to company standards and policies.
5. Ensure all support calls follow the defined processes and procedures within the call logging system.
6. Deliver excellent customer service, enhancing user satisfaction with IT support.
7. Support and administer Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Intune, Active Directory, and assist with testing and deployment of changes.
Profile
1. Extensive hands-on experience with configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting Windows environments, including Windows 10/11 and Active Directory.
2. Proficiency in supporting Office 365 and Exchange.
3. Ability to provide first-level support for general IT operational issues, both face-to-face and remotely.
4. Experience with remote support tools and resolving technical issues over the phone.
5. Knowledge of backup software and restoration tasks.
6. Experience in printer administration and stock management.
7. Strong skills in MS Office 365 and support of the Office suite.
