We’re looking for a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our Repairs & Voids team, helping us deliver outstanding repairs and maintenance services to our tenants across the East of England. Working hours: Full time 08:00-17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00-14:30 on Fridays (40 hours per week). Out of hours/overtime may be required. Location: Lowestoft/Saxmundham/Beccles and surrounding areas. What you will be doing: Carrying out painting and decorating-related repairs and maintenance. Preparing surfaces (sanding, filling, priming) and completing glossing and decoration. Cleaning damp and mould, performing void clearances and flood repairs. Identifying and arranging asbestos removal when needed. Using schedules of rates to assess job content and complete estimates. Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, first time. Our ideal candidate needs to have the following: Full Trade Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade, or equivalent experience. Strong practical skills and ability to assess and prepare for jobs. Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Competence in Microsoft Outlook and Teams. Full UK driving licence. Willingness to join the out-of-hours on-call rota (including public holidays).
