Purpose
Your purpose as In Custody Team Leader is to line manage a team of In Custody IAG Advisers, overseeing IAG delivery. Covering HMP Isis, HMP Thameside, HMP Pentonville and HMP Feltham. You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting team performance, performing quality checks and working closely with the Regional Manager to identify performance improvement actions at individual and establishment level. Leading on staff training and development and quality assurance processes. Providing Adviser cover where required, in the event of annual leave, sickness, or staff turnover.
Please note: This role requires weekly site visits (2-3 times per week) and delivery support from the beginning of the working day where there is adviser absence (average start time 8am).
Essential:
You will have:
1. Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
2. Demonstrable experience of leading a team of staff to achieve contract objectives and KPIs
3. Demonstrable experience of motivating and supporting individuals with multiple and complex needs to overcome barriers and progress towards education, training, and employment
4. Proven experience of achieving – and supporting others to achieve - qualitative and quantitative targets
