You don’t need any previous experience to become a support worker with Sense. We’ll give you full training for our part time and full time roles.

It's an exciting time as Sense is expanding, we now have an opportunity for Support Workers to join our Supported Living service in Dover, Kent, working 37.5 hours per week. We also offer the option for overtime hours.

If you are an engaging, positive, caring person who would like to enhance other people's lives, then this is the role for you! You will support people to live the life they choose, and to grow with their independence.

This role in Dover, Kent includes regular sleep in shifts, supporting with everyday living, cooking, cleaning, personal care, finances, medication, working, shopping, trips out, going to pubs and night clubs. The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The people we support are individuals and they are all treated as such. As a general guide, you may support with personal care needs, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing.

We’re looking for enthusiastic applicants who are:


* Positive, with a can-do attitude.
* Caring and empathetic.
* Passionate about enhancing other people’s lives.
* Willing to work towards a Level 2 Diploma in health and social care or equivalent (or already have one).

Here at Sense Dover, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. Your priority will be empowering the people you support to live an independent life.

No two days will be the same

This role in Dover, Kent might include supporting people with:

* Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning.
* Personal care and hygiene.
* Finances.
* Medication and wellbeing.
* Going into the community for shopping or other trips.
* Their social life and nightlife.
