We are looking for an experienced Chef with a background in exceptional catering services to work at a renowned educational setting in Cheshire, serving 250 day pupils, 20 boarders, staff, and providing breakfast, lunch, dinner, and extensive hospitality services five days a week.

Job Description
As a Chef, you will collaborate with our culinary team to craft flavorful, nourishing dishes that delight students and staff alike. You should have excellent presentation, organizational, and communication skills, along with a passion for food and service, and enthusiasm for your work.
* Assist the Head Chef in food preparation, production, and service.
* Ensure all dishes meet quality and presentation standards.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance.
* Contribute to menu planning, considering dietary restrictions and seasonal ingredients.
* Manage stock control and ordering to optimize inventory and minimize waste.
* Support the team in executing special events and themed dinners.
* Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment following health and safety regulations.
* Assist with administrative tasks like scheduling, budgeting, and record-keeping.
* Stay updated on industry trends and culinary techniques.
* Promote a positive working environment through leadership, communication, and teamwork.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in similar roles within contract catering or educational institutions preferred.
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards.
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
