The Opportunity
A fast-growing, tech-enabled outsource firm is looking to hire a Tax Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of high-growth, VC-backed clients.
This business has built a modern, differentiated model, combining strong client service with automation, data, and commercial thinking. Backed by an AI-native platform, they are designed to remove low-value work and allow finance professionals to focus on high-impact advisory.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in shaping the tax offering as the business scales.
The Role
This is a broad, commercially focused position with ownership from day one. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to founders and finance teams in scaling technology businesses.
Key areas include:
* Transfer pricing advisory and implementation
* EMI schemes, valuations and ERS compliance
* EIS/SEIS filings and advance assurance
* VAT advisory (UK and cross-border)
* Ad hoc tax projects (restructuring, remuneration, corporate tax)
* Review of corporation tax returns and technical input
* Producing high-quality written advice and client deliverables
* Leading client conversations and simplifying complex tax issues
* Identifying process improvements, automation opportunities and efficiencies
Requirements
* Professional qualification (ATT / CTA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
* 5+ years’ experience in UK practice
* Strong exposure to areas such as transfer pricing, share schemes, EIS/SEIS, VAT and corporate tax
* Experience managing your own portfolio and multiple deadlines
* Confidence working directly with founders and senior stakeholders
* Strong technical capability (legislation, HMRC guidance, report writing)
* Proven ability to work independently in a remote setup
