Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we're enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide end-to-end solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering, and home decarbonisation.
This role will be within our Metering team, the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, offering efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity, and water meters.
Our meter readers install, maintain, and manage meters to ensure accurate billing and monitor energy usage patterns.

What will you be doing?
As an engineer, you'll be responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, and removal of smart meters. Do you enjoy working independently, engaging with customers, and meeting new people?
Customer service is our top priority. You'll ensure all jobs are completed on time, explaining the benefits and safe usage of smart meters to customers. Do you like meeting new people and making a difference?
Your daily tasks include installing and removing SMETS2 smart meters in customers' homes, completing around 5 jobs per day. There's an uncapped bonus for additional jobs.
You will travel around your area using your tablet to see your schedule, which is available up to 2 weeks in advance.

What you'll bring
* Valid UK driving license – held for at least 1 year with less than 6 points
* CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 with MET1, or NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel
* Experience installing gas and electric smart meters
* Previous MOCOPA experience at multi-rate level
If you have additional qualifications, that's a bonus, but not required:
* REGT1, 3 phase qualifications
* Registered on the EUSR portal
