Lettings OfficerDo you have experience within the Lettings sector?Are you a confident communicator with excellent administration skills?If so, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.We're working with an Evesham-based client who are seeking a Lettings Officer to join their supportive team of five. This role is well suited to someone with lettings experience from either the private or public sector, who enjoys managing the end-to-end lettings process and delivering a great customer experience.The role offers 32 hours per week, worked across 4 or 5 days, with hybrid and flexible working to support a healthy work-life balance.Role PurposeTo ensure the efficient, timely and customer-focused letting of all vacant properties across the Group. You will manage the end-to-end lettings process, minimising rent loss, promoting tenancy sustainability and ensuring compliance with policy, legislation and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLettings & AllocationsEnsure all vacant properties are advertised accurately and within agreed timescalesSecure customers for vacant homes through direct shortlisting, local authority nominations, estate agents and other platformsPrepare offers of tenancy and make appropriate tenancy adjustments where requiredRecord and report reasons for applicant refusals or rejectionsTenancy Sustainability & ComplianceCarry out robust pre-tenancy assessments to assess suitability, identify risks and promote sustainable tenanciesSignpost customers to relevant support services where requiredEnsure rent in advance is obtained as standard to support income collectionCustomer Service & AdministrationComplete sign-up packs and arrange viewings, including on-site lettings for new developments and attendance at handoversDeal with enquiries from tenants, partner agencies and internal colleaguesLog service requests and support complaint investigations when requiredRegister new applicants and update customer records in line with GDPR and organisational policiesMaintain accurate records for leasehold propertiesProvide departmental performance information and data in the absence of the Team LeaderTemporary Accommodation & Additional DutiesEnsure inventory procedures are followed for furniture and white goodsLog and process tenancy terminations, supporting customers to end tenancies in a timely wayAllocate and arrange garage inspections and process terminationsRaise orders, manage invoices and support budget monitoringProvide reception and telephone cover as requiredPerson SpecificationExperience working in lettings or housing environmentStrong customer service skills with the ability to manage sensitive and complex casesExcellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workloadAbility to work collaboratively with internal teams, local authorities and external partnersStrong written and verbal communication skillsGood understanding of GDPR and data protection requirementsWhy Apply?Flexible working across 4 or 5 daysHybrid working modelVaried and rewarding role with real customer impactFriendly, supportive team environmentIf you're looking for a role where you can use your lettings expertise to make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
