Job Summary
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Paediatric Diabetes Patient Navigator and Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Coordinator to join our Paediatric Diabetes Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an established service that supports the Trust's Paediatric Diabetes Team. We use information systems including clinical systems such as Lorenzo. The main duties include working with the CYP Diabetes Team, providing support to the Clinical Nurse Specialists, to ensure timely care and optimal waiting list management for all patients & their parents/carers referred to the CYP Specialist Diabetes Team.

About Us
We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.

Essential Education, Knowledge & Skills
* Educated to GCSE maths and English standard or equivalent experience
* Equivalent of NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or Equivalent
Essential Experience
* Experience in using hospital IT systems such as Lorenzo.
* Experience of using Microsoft Office systems
* Experience of undertaking a range of administrative duties including, Diary management, Telephone queries & Excellent keyboard skills
* Knowledge and use of medical terminology
Desirable Experience
* Working with spreadsheets and databases
* Previous experience as working in an administration role within a medical setting
