Responsibilities Asset Creation: Design and create high-quality 2D assets including concept art, characters, environments, UI elements, and marketing materials that align with the project’s narrative and visual style. Collaboration & Implementation: Work closely with Design and Production to integrate assets into the game engine, ensuring they meet technical, aesthetic, and performance standards. Visual Problem Solving: Interpret creative briefs to provide artistic solutions that fit within the project's budget, schedule, and scope, proactively addressing any creative challenges. Feedback & Iteration: Actively participate in reviews, accepting feedback from Leads/Seniors and iterating on work to meet the project's quality benchmarks. Pipeline Support: assist in maintaining style guides and documentation, ensuring consistent best practices are shared across the Art Department. Qualifications Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating a versatile range of 2D skills (concept to production art) and the ability to adapt to different visual styles. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to discuss creative ideas, estimates, and schedule impacts clearly with non-art stakeholders. Technical Understanding: Ability to prepare artwork for engine integration and a solid understanding of how art choices impact game performance and production schedules. Adaptability: Comfortable working within a collaborative, fast-paced studio environment, managing time effectively to meet deadlines. Nice-to-Have 3D Capabilities: Ability to support the team with 3D asset creation if project needs arise.
