We’re working with an inspiring SEMH secondary school in the Salford area looking for an Intervention Mentor to join their team full-time.

What You’ll Be Doing
As an Intervention Mentor, you’ll play a key role in helping pupils succeed both emotionally and academically. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering 1:1 and small‑group interventions focusing on emotional regulation, behaviour, engagement, and confidence.
* Supporting pupils with barriers to learning—helping them re-engage with school life and routines.
* Building trusting, positive relationships with students who may have experienced difficulty in or outside of school.
* Implementing strategies based on SEMH best practice (training provided!).
* Working closely with teachers, pastoral teams, SENCOs, and external professionals.
* Encouraging a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where every pupil feels valued.
* Tracking and reporting progress to ensure interventions are effective and meaningful.

✔️ Essential Qualities
* A calm, resilient, and patient personality.
* Ability to build rapport with young people who may present challenging behaviours.
* A genuine passion for helping young people grow emotionally and academically.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to learn strategies for supporting SEMH needs.
* Experience in youth work, mentoring, care, sports coaching, mental health support, or similar.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
