About the Role
As an Estimator at Had-Fab, you’ll play a key role in converting customer enquiries into successful business proposals. Working as part of a close-knit team led by the Commercial Manager, you’ll prepare competitive quotes, liaise with suppliers and customers, and ensure all tenders are accurate, timely, and commercially sound.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and submit tender bids using drawings, specifications, and client data.
* Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide value-added solutions.
* Source pricing from suppliers and contractors to ensure competitive, high-quality proposals.
* Coordinate and maintain all documentation throughout the bid process.
* Maximise value while controlling costs and delivery timelines.
* Prepare quotation letters and clarifications where required.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams including Engineering, Procurement, Planning, and Production.
* Contribute to continuous improvement within the estimating function.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong technical understanding of fabrication processes and customer specifications.
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, and ideally ERP systems.
* Excellent commercial awareness and cost-modelling skills.
* Confident communicator with a collaborative mindset and a drive to deliver results.
* Previous experience in a steel fabrication, engineering, or construction environment preferred.
