Are you practical, safety‑focused and enjoy working in an operational environment? We’re looking for a Waste Operative to support day‑to‑day site operations and help deliver efficient, compliant waste management services.
This is a hands‑on role where you’ll work closely with customers, site staff and our operations team to keep waste activities running smoothly while maintaining excellent health, safety and environmental standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Exchanging and managing 1100L wheelie bins across site (General Waste & Dry Mixed Recycling)
* Returning full bins to the waste compound for sorting and processing
* Carrying out daily pre‑use inspections on machinery and vehicles
* Monitoring waste levels around site and booking exchanges as required
* Ensuring all waste streams are segregated and stored correctly in line with procedures
* Maintaining a clean, organised and well‑run waste compound
* Communicating daily with customers, contract managers and line managers
* Reporting near misses, incidents and accidents via the incident reporting system
* Actively contributing to continuous improvement and innovation
* Promoting a positive, safe and collaborative working culture
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday, 15:00pm - 23:00pm.

Essential / Desirable Experience
✅ FLT licence (preferred)
✅ Towing experience (preferred)
✅ Background in waste management, health & safety or site operations (preferred)
✅ Basic IT skills
✅ Manual handling experience (training provided if required)
