Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our MEICA and capital maintenance team. Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.

In this role, you will be an integral part of our onsite team, responsible for fabricating sheet metal sections and stainless steel components for gas turbines. Your tasks will include fabricating these components using onsite jigs and performing seam welding services for one of our clients.
The position will initially be offered as a fixed-term contract for a duration of 6 months.
What will you be doing?
Fabrication of Sheet Metal Components
Marking cutting lines and forming bends on sheet metal
Assembling pieces by welding
Reading blueprints and specifications
Measuring and marking sheet metal
Cutting lines and forming bends on sheet metal
Installing fabricated sheet metal components
Seam welding: Perform high-quality seam welding on components
Quality Control: Inspect finished components to ensure they meet client requirementsWhat you’ll bring
City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Sheet Metalwork or equivalent.
Certification in welding techniques (e.g. MIG/TIG Welding).
Proficiency in using power shears, laser cutters, plasma cutters, and band saws to precisely cut sheet metal to required shapes.
Expertise in operating bending machines (brake press), rolling machines
Ability to use grinders, sanders, and polishing equipment
Ability to precisely mark cutting lines and form bends on sheet metal using measuring tools.
Thorough understanding of engineering drawings.
Ability to calculate measurements, angles, and material quantities.What’s in it for you?
