Futures are looking to appoint a reliable and detail-oriented Goods In Operative to join a warehouse and logistics team within a manufacturing unit. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that all incoming deliveries are received, checked, recorded, and stored accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be proactive, physically fit, and able to work effectively as part of a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Receiving Deliveries: Unload, check, and verify incoming goods against delivery notes and purchase orders. Inspection: Ensure all items are received in good condition, reporting damages, discrepancies, or shortages immediately. Stock Handling: Accurately label and store goods in the correct warehouse locations following stock rotation procedures (FIFO/LIFO). Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, receipts, and returns using manual and digital systems. Collaboration: Work closely with the purchasing and warehouse teams to resolve delivery or stock issues. Health & Safety: Follow company health, safety, and hygiene policies at all times, ensuring the warehouse environment is safe and organised. Equipment Use: Operate forklifts, pallet trucks, or other machinery (where licensed/trained) safely and responsibly. Continuous Improvement: Support warehouse efficiency initiatives and contribute to improving goods-in processes. Skills & Attributes Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
