Are you reliable, hardworking, and passionate about making a difference behind the scenes? We are looking for a General Assistant to join our friendly care home team, providing vital support across domestic, kitchen, and laundry services.
About the Role:
As a General Assistant, you will work flexibly across departments to ensure our home remains clean, comfortable, and welcoming for residents. Whether you're keeping bedrooms spotless, assisting in the kitchen, or making sure laundry is fresh and well cared for – your role helps create a safe and homely environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Domestic: Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to a high standard
Kitchen: Assisting with basic food prep, washing up, and maintaining hygiene
Laundry: Washing, drying, ironing, and distributing residents’ personal items and linen
Supporting the care team in maintaining infection control and dignity at all times
What We’re Looking For:
✅ A positive attitude and strong team spirit
✅ Willingness to work across all departments as needed
✅ Understanding of cleanliness, hygiene, and health & safety
✅ Previous experience in a care or hospitality setting (desirable, not essential)
✅ Compassion and respect for older people, including those living with dementia
