Job Description
A successful Regional Sales/Area Sales Engineer will:
 * Develop and manage sales across a broad customer base including OEMs, System Integrators, Distributors, and Machine Builders.
 * Identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships within key industries such as logistics, automotive, and food manufacturing.
 * Provide technical support and consultative sales expertise to customers, ensuring solutions are tailored to their operational needs.
 * Achieve and exceed regional sales targets through a mix of new business development and account management.
 * Work closely with internal teams to deliver customer projects from concept to completion.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Regional Sales Manager/ Area Sales Manager should have:
 * Proven track record in sales within automation, engineering, or related industrial sectors - training given - this is a commercial solution sales role
 * Strong understanding of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing and account growth.
 * Comfortable selling to multiple customer types (OE, SI, distributors, machine builders).
 * Self-motivated, commercially aware, and able to manage your own territory.
 * Based in the North East with knowledge of the local customer landscape (Sunderland, Teesside, North Yorkshire, Cumbria, Newcastle and surrounding areas).
