Role Summary
* Contribute to the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's First Steps Nursery team to create a nurturing environment for children's development under the guidance of the Nursery Manager/Deputy Manager and Early Years Educators.
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care and development of children attending First Steps Nursery.
* Assist in managing and organizing work as required.
* Deliver high-quality care and education to ensure children achieve optimal outcomes.
* Support staff knowledge and skills development in caring for children.
* Develop high standards of care and education, providing feedback and implementing necessary changes.
* Ensure practice reflects standards outlined in the Trust’s Safeguarding Policies and engage with safeguarding services when necessary.
* Support other Childcare Services provision as needed.

First Steps Nursery cares for children of NHS staff aged 3 months - 5 years. It is a large setting, caring for many children daily.
As an Early Years Educator – Room Lead, you will support a team of staff, oversee your room's operation, and deliver a high-quality curriculum with engaging learning experiences.
We seek an experienced Early Years Educator who will serve as a role model, provide professional development, and focus on inclusive practices for all children.
Working hours: across 4 days per week (Monday to Friday).
Interview Date: To be confirmed.
Salary: The advertised salary reflects the Agenda for Change 5/6 rates, including a future pay award. If you join before the award, it will be backdated to your start date. Until then, pay is based on 4/5 pay bandings (NHS Employers).
