About the Role:

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Romanian-speaking Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in Port Talbot. This role involves working closely with pupils who have English as an Additional Language (EAL), helping them access the curriculum and build confidence in the classroom.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide dedicated support to Romanian-speaking pupils, assisting them with the curriculum.
2. Support the class teacher with classroom tasks and pupil engagement.
3. Deliver tailored interventions to support language development and learning.
4. Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment.
5. Act as a communication link between the school and Romanian-speaking families.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

1. Fluency in Romanian and English (spoken and written).
2. Experience working with children in an educational setting.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Patience, compassion, and a proactive approach.
5. An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
6. Right to work in the UK.
