Job Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our nursing team based at the surgery in Ballachulish. You will be responsible for all nursing activities within the Practice, including managing clinics for Diabetes, COPD, Asthma, CKD, and New Patient Medicals. You will handle vaccinations, childhood immunisations, minor injuries, and assist in minor surgery. Additionally, you will oversee the Health Care Assistant who runs blood clinics and other nursing duties.
About the Practice
We are a busy rural practice with 1,600 patients and growing. Our team provides comprehensive support, focusing on chronic conditions management and minor injuries.
Candidate Requirements
* First level registration with NMC
* Post-registration experience as a Primary Nurse
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Desirable: Nursing prescriber qualification
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Excellent communication skills
Employment Details
This is a permanent role, working 17.5 hours per week according to service needs.
