Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including home care and care homes. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to drive to different locations as needed. The Healthcare Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible support.
Responsibilities
* Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support.
* Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that each patient's needs are met effectively.
* Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
* Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other team members to provide updates and address concerns.
* Support patients in maintaining their independence while promoting a safe and comfortable environment.
* Drive to various locations as required for home visits or care home assignments.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Skills
* Experience in home care or working within a care home environment is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
* Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence for transportation purposes.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise with patients and their families.
* Basic IT skills for documentation and communication tasks.
