Job Description
We're looking to recruit an experienced Housing Officer to join our busy social housing client in St Helens, supporting their Neighbourhoods team on a maternity cover contract until the end of July.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage a busy patch of general needs properties, ensuring safe, well-maintained neighbourhoods
* Support tenants with tenancy sustainment, including signposting to relevant services
* Handle low-medium level ASB cases, conducting investigations and working with partner agencies
* Carry out estate inspections, identify improvements and ensure timely follow-up
* Manage breaches of tenancy, prepare documentation including NOSP to serve when required, and liaise with legal teams
* Build strong relationships with tenants, community partners and internal colleagues to deliver excellent customer service
* Respond promptly to enquiries, complaints and safeguarding concerns
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience in a Housing Officer/Neighbourhood Officer role within a social housing environment
* Strong understanding of tenancy management, housing legislation and ASB processes
* Experience of handling ASB cases, breaches of tenancy and safeguarding
* Ability to travel across the St Helens area as needed
