Salary: £46,375 plus London allowance of £3,612 if applicable
Fundamentally the role is to provide technical and developmental expertise in debt and money advice (including budgeting, income maximisation, financial resilience, and financial capability approaches) to Citizens Advice internal teams and to the Citizens Advice network. You’ll support the delivery of our debt, money and financial capability work alongside internal teams and the network to ensure our advice, content and learning are accurate, practical and user‑focused. As part of the Advice Knowledge ‘home’ team, you will help create consistent communities of practice and support continuous professional development. The role will involve working in multidisciplinary ‘away’ teams, supporting the development of technology and automation, delivering webinars and online learning, and implementing new ways of working and outcome‑based approaches across the Advice department.
Essential Criteria
* Demonstrable and up‑to‑date experience in the debt advice sector, understanding advice delivery and quality improvement, as well as key issues arising from legislation, regulatory frameworks particularly FCA, policy and practice.
* Experience interpreting legislation, giving credible, appropriate and high‑quality legal guidance and advice related to money to a range of audiences via different channels (e.g. face‑to‑face, telephone and online).
* Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex decisions and implications to non‑technical audiences.
