Shift Lead – Butter Department
Location: Market Drayton (Butter). Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off.
The Shift Lead is responsible for enabling the team to deliver targets and continually improve performance by coaching and developing people.
Responsibilities
* Creating and delivering development plans.
* Coaching front‑line team members to solve problems.
* Ensuring personal activities align with overall business objectives.
* People management: performance reviews, development, coaching, and handling employee relation issues.
* Collaboratively working with other teams to improve the business.
* Demonstrating deep knowledge of Operational Excellence and coaching teams on its principles and tools.
* Creating succession pathways both upward and across the organisation.
* High‑level problem‑solving and facilitation skills.
* Using PDCA techniques to track problems through to a real‑time, 100‑year fix.
* Encouraging others to seek improvement opportunities and converting those into operational‑excellence projects.
* Owning and delivering operational‑excellence initiatives, gaining recognition for them.
* Identifying and encouraging waste‑reduction opportunities across all activities.
* Participating in Learning & Development site induction.
