The Role
SNG(Sovereign Network Group) was formed in October 2023 through the merger of Sovereign and Network Homes.
We provide over 85,000 homes and invest in communities across the South, West and East of England, including London, as well as aiming to create thousands of new affordable homes every year.
We\'re now looking for an IT Service Design Lead to join our team in either Basingstoke on an 18 Month Fixed Term Contract, combining both office and home working.
The Role:
As an IT Service Design Lead, and you\'ll play a key role in shaping how new IT services are designed and transitioned into business-as-usual.
You\'ll work closely with project teams, service owners, IT operations, and business stakeholders to design services that are secure, resilient, and supportable from day one.
Responsibilities
* Leading service design activities across multiple IT projects, ensuring non-functional requirements and support needs are built into delivery plans.
* Conducting service impact assessments, identifying service support requirements, risks, dependencies, and operational impacts.
* Producing and securing sign-off of Service Design Packages (SDPs) and support models.
* Partnering with stakeholders to ensure operational teams are fully prepared for go-live.
* Providing progress reports, highlighting risks, and resolving service design issues.
* Championing a full-service lifecycle perspective, from design to retirement.
* Continuously improving service design processes, templates, and standards.
Qualifications
* Strong experience in IT service design / service architecture within a digital or IT environment.
* Knowledge of IT service design principles, processes, and best practices.
* Familiarity with infrastructure, applications, and cloud services.
* Proven ability to manage multiple IT service design activities across projects.
* Strong analytical, service design documentation, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
