The Project Management Team at Burges Salmon is at the heart of delivering strategic change across the firm. From Facilities and IT to Finance and wider business initiatives, our Project Managers play a pivotal role in shaping and executing projects that make a real impact.
We are looking for a proactive and confident Project Manager to join us on a 12 months fixed-term contract (Maternity leave cover). You will be responsible for leading a range of business-focused projects, working closely with stakeholders across the firm to ensure delivery is on time, within scope and budget.
What you'll be doing:
* Leading the planning, coordination and delivery of multiple projects across the business.
* Producing clear and accurate project documentation including initiation packs, stakeholder analysis, business cases and testing plans.
* Managing risks, issues and dependencies to keep projects on track.
* Providing regular updates to sponsors and project boards, with concise reporting and clear communication.
* Motivating cross-functional teams and ensuring effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
* Liaising with third-party suppliers and managing external services where required.
* Ensuring smooth handover to business-as-usual teams, with full documentation and support in place.
What we're looking for:
* An experienced Project Manager with a can-do attitude and a proactive approach.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
* Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Experience using both agile and waterfall methodologies.
* Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and managing complex project environments.
Desirable:
* Experience in a professional services environment.
* Exposure to both business and technical projects.
* Formal qualifications in project management (e.g. Prince2, APMP, PMP or MSP).
