Area Manager – Estate Agency (Norfolk) Location: Norfolk (multi-branch responsibility) Salary: Competitive basic car allowance performance bonus Contract: Full-time, permanent About the Role We are seeking an experienced and driven Area Manager to oversee a network of estate agency branches across Norfolk. This is an exciting opportunity for an established multi-site leader—or a high-performing Senior Branch Manager ready to take the next step into area management. You will be responsible for driving performance, developing branch teams, ensuring compliance, and optimising customer service standards across your area. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, commercial focus, and a proven track record of delivering results in a competitive market. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Oversee the day-to-day performance and operations of multiple estate agency branches. Ensure each office consistently meets targets across sales, lettings, instructions, revenue, and profitability. Maintain high standards of compliance, legislation, and operational policy across your area. People Management & Development Lead, coach, and mentor Branch Managers and their teams to achieve peak performance. Identify training needs and create development plans to build capability and succession pipelines. Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high-quality staff. Business Performance & Strategy Analyse branch performance data and implement improvement strategies. Drive growth initiatives to increase market share, instructions, and fee income. Monitor competitor activity and local market conditions, adjusting strategy accordingly. Customer Experience Ensure all branches deliver exceptional customer service standards. Support branches with complex client issues and escalate where necessary. Promote a culture where service excellence drives business success. Commercial & Financial Management Take ownership of budgets, forecasting, and profitability across your area. Identify commercial opportunities and ensure branches maximise revenue streams. Review and improve operational efficiencies across all offices. Person Specification Essential Proven estate agency experience at Senior Branch Manager, Branch Manager, Multi-Lister or Area Manager level. Strong leadership skills with experience managing, mentoring, or developing teams. Excellent understanding of estate agency processes, compliance, and market dynamics. Commercially focused with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets. Confident decision-maker with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Norfolk. Desirable Previous multi-site management experience. Strong local knowledge of Norfolk property markets.
