Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal
We have an exciting position available for a proactive, enthusiastic Senior Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, progressive small animal veterinary practice in Twickenham.
Twickenham Veterinary Surgery is based in Twickenham, a suburban town with access to cafes, restaurants and parks. Our clinic lies on the River Thames and is well connected by transport links. We have excellent facilities including digital X-ray, ultrasound, multiparameter monitor, endoscope, laser, a dedicated nurse’s consulting room and we take pride in the work we do.
About The Role
Key responsibilities include scheduling the nursing rota, approving holiday requests for the nursing team, and managing the ordering of specialist products such as new equipment and consumables. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the nursing team alongside the Head Nurse, assist with Practice Standards processes, and update SOPs as needed.
This full-time role offers a flexible 4 or 5-day workweek with no weekends or out-of-hours shifts. Typical shifts are either 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, and we are open to discussing part-time arrangements to support a healthy work-life balance.
Our Practice
At Twickenham Veterinary Surgery, we’re a community-focused practice. We pride ourselves on the quality of our work and the care we provide to our patients. Our team includes five experienced Vets, four full-time Vet Nurses, three part-time Vet Nurses, one Student Nurse, one training ANA, and four full-time support staff. We prioritise customer care and team wellbeing, and we work with local animal charities to make a positive impact.
