If so, Business and Commercial Banking (BCB) Markets are looking for a Director to lead, coach and line manage our ambitious, diverse and proven team of regulated sales colleagues covering approximately 3,000 small and medium-sized businesses.
You'll lead a team covering the SME (up to 25m turnover) business which predominantly delivers the sales, execution and facilitation of currency, commodity and interest rate transactions for SME Clients, supporting these clients in key stages of their business lifecycle with a focus on strategic risk management. What you’ll be doing:
1. Coach and lead a team to build and manage relationships with corporate clients providing strategic input that allows them to make informed decisions relating to their commercial exposures to currency, commodity and interest rate markets.
2. We have a flat structure that leads by example so expectation will be to manage Client relationships as well as lead the team. The role reports into the MD of BCB Markets.
3. Work closely with internal teams including Credit, Coverage (Relationship Managers), Business Development and Delivery Teams to secure transactions, streamline processes to accelerate deal execution and grow the franchise.
4. Work in lock step with our Fintech Teams and external Fintech partners to continue and accelerate the development of our Lloyds Bank Connected Platform.
5. Develop and implement a strategy designed to increase wallet share of existing clients, see opportunities to cross-refer other parts of the bank as well as grow the portfolio through own and bank-wide supported business development strategies.
6. Ensure individual and collective compliance with regulatory standards, lead all aspects of management of documentation for complex transactions and support associated deal forums and facility applications.
7. Price, structure, and implement both simple and complex FX, Interest Rate and Commodity risk management solutions to SME Clients.
8. Support the development of team skills and scale execution capabilities and income growth across the wider Markets business.

What you’ll need:

11. In-depth Director-level experience of the provision of complex risk management solutions across multiple asset-classes to SME and Mid Corporate sized clients of the bank.
12. Strong understanding of transaction documentation, credit risk principles and currency, commodity and interest-rate management products.
13. Extensive experience in use of pricing tools that derive executable client prices that consider applicable charges to cover risk and capital employed in FX, Commodity and Interest Rate structures.
14. Ability to coach and lead a team to best in class delivery of original solutions and communicate effectively with partners at all levels.
15. Passion for financial markets and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to clients at C-Suite level as well as Corporate Finance advisors.
16. Strong analytical approach with the ability to handle several competing priorities.
17. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with a track record of effective teamwork and senior partner management.

This role is considered Certified under the Senior Manager and Certification Regime as either requiring mandatory qualifications or being deemed as a role capable of providing ‘significant harm’ to customers. Due to this, successful candidates will be subject to enhanced levels of vetting, and required to complete a fitness and propriety attestation on commencement in role. Colleagues performing this role will be required to be complete a fitness and propriety attestation on an annual basis and will also be subject to additional routine criminal and credit checks
