About the role - The QSHE function within Dalkia provides independent professional assurance and support to ensure all activities are planned and delivered safely, compliantly and sustainably. Working alongside operational teams, clients and the supply chain, QSHE promotes a positive culture that integrates quality, health, safety and environmental management into day-to-day delivery across construction, engineering, energy and facilities management activities. QSHE supports legal compliance and effective risk management through proactive advice, site monitoring, auditing and performance reporting. The function underpins Dalkia’s ISO-aligned management systems, drives continual improvement and ensures lessons learned are captured and shared, enabling projects and services to be delivered to the required safety, quality and environmental standards while meeting client and statutory requirements.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence operatives, supervisors and managers across multiple sites. A pragmatic, solution-focused approach to QSHE within live construction and engineering environments, balancing assurance with operational delivery. Confident in challenging unsafe behaviours constructively, demonstrating sound judgement, attention to detail and professional integrity. Organised, resilient and proactive, with a commitment to continuous improvement and the promotion of a positive safety culture
Qualifications/Experience
Essential:
* NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
* IOSH Managing Safely (or higher)
* H&S experience within construction, engineering or energy environments
* Sound knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations and Principal Contractor Role
* Temporary Works awareness or coordination training
Desirable:
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate
* NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards)
* Lead or Internal Auditor qualification for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001
* Environmental qualification (e.g. IEMA Certificate)
* First Aid at Work qualification
