Description Overview
Scope of the Role
Process Subject Matter Expert:
1. Achieve and maintain expert process and equipment knowledge within a specific area of manufacturing
Process Design and Optimisation:
2. Identify opportunities for process optimisation
3. Design process changes to realise the identified opportunities
4. Conduct engineering change management activities to assess proposed process changes
5. Contribute to pre-liminary financial analysis of improvements to quantify benefit
6. Evaluate potential improvements to ensure the most beneficial are prioritized
7. Oversee implementation of changes
Regulatory Compliance:
8. Ensure processes meet EHS, Quality and other regulatory requirements
9. Conduct process and equipment assessments to identify risks and implement corrective actions
Production Support:
10. Work with Maintenance, Production, Quality and Capital Project teams to design, implement and maintain production equipment and systems
11. Investigate and troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
Continuous Improvement:
12. Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
Documentation:
13. Contribute to the Engineering Documentation/Drawing management system
14. Contribute to the development of SOPs, validation protocols and user requirement specification
15. Write technical reports
Experience Required
16. Degree in a relevant engineering discipline required
17. 3+ years of experience in a Process Engineering related role within a manufacturing environment required
18. Experience working in an oral solid dose pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred
19. Experience with process optimisation required
20. Experience writing technical reports required
21. Experience working in a highly regulated industry preferred
22. Experience with industrial building services preferred
23. Experience working in a cGMP environment preferred
