Fire Safety Manager
A client within the Public Sector based in Manchester is currently recruiting for a Fire Safety Manager to join their Fire Safety Team within Housing Services as soon as possible. The client is offering a full‑time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing/building safety environment.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Leading complex fire safety work packages and delivering innovative technical solutions in line with legislation.
* Carrying out post‑inspections, fire safety audits, and monitoring compliance with relevant legislation and codes.
* Preparing comprehensive reports documenting fire safety risks, defects, and recommended actions.
* Providing training, technical guidance, and education to staff and building occupants on fire safety policies and evacuation procedures.
* Supporting continuous improvement by staying up to date with current fire safety regulations, industry best practices, and advancements in fire safety management.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will require:
* A fire safety‑related qualification (e.g. C08 Fire Risk Management in Residential Properties).
* Proven experience in a management role within housing or local authority settings.
* Demonstrable track record of delivering high‑quality services in a complex fire safety environment, including hands‑on experience in fire risk assessments and building inspections.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
* Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
* Proficiency in fire safety management software and tools.
* Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and report writing skills.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and lead a team effectively.
Payment
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and is offering £375 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £325 per hour PAYE).
