Rookie Rockstars is a values-driven charity dedicated to creating safe, fun, and nurturing environments where children can thrive beyond the school day. We are now seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Manager to lead our After School and Breakfast club service in Kirkintilloch.

About The Role
As Manager, you will provide strong leadership and strategic direction for our After School and Breakfast club. You will liaise with the Operational Manager on the day‑to‑day management of the service and will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high‑quality, child‑centred service that promotes play, wellbeing, and positive development for all children attending.
Working closely with the charity leadership team, you will oversee the daily operations, staff team, and service development, ensuring compliance with childcare standards and best practice.
Working Hours
The role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday:
* Breakfast Club: 7:30am to 9:30am
* After School Club: 2:30pm to 6:30pm
Key Responsibilities
* Provide effective leadership and management of the team.
* Ensure a safe, inclusive and nurturing play environment for children.
* Lead the planning and delivery of engaging, age‑appropriate activities that support children’s development and wellbeing.
* Maintain compliance with Care Inspectorate standards and childcare legislation.
* Support, supervise and develop staff through coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management.
* Contribute to the strategic development and growth of the service.
* Build positive relationships with children, families, schools, and the wider community.
* Oversee administration, record keeping, and operational management of the club.
* Promote a culture aligned with Rookie Rockstars’ charitable ethos and values.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* A confident and experienced leader within a childcare setting.
* Passionate about play‑based learning and child development.
* Skilled in team leadership, motivation, and staff development.
* Organised with strong operational and strategic thinking abilities.
* Committed to delivering high‑quality childcare services.
* SCQF Level 9 qualification relevant to childcare or childhood practice.
* Experience working within a childcare or out‑of‑school care setting.
* Demonstrable leadership or supervisory experience.
* Strong knowledge of childcare standards and safeguarding practices.
