This role is ideal for someone with limited accounts experience or a finance graduate seeking their first step into the profession. Key Responsibilities Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and within deadlines Matching, batching, and coding invoices Supplier statement reconciliations Dealing with supplier queries and resolving discrepancies Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs Assisting with month-end AP tasks Assisting with bank reconciliations Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc finance duties Helping maintain accurate financial records and documentation Providing administrative support to the wider finance team when required About You Ideally some exposure to accounts payable or a finance-related role (but not essential) OR a degree in Accounting/Finance looking for a first step into industry Strong attention to detail and good numerical ability Confident IT skills, including Excel Eager to learn, ambitious, and keen to build a long-term career in finance Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach What’s on Offer Salary up to £26,000 depending on experience Hybrid working after training period Study support available after probation Opportunity to progress within a large, global organisation Supportive, experienced Finance Manager and a close-knit team environment Finance Assistant – Up to £26,000 Location: Sunderland (Hybrid working available) Reports to: Finance Manager Sector: Large organisation | Part of a global group Experience Level: Entry-level / early career (AP-focused)
