Ref: JR101158 You will work as part of the team providing person centred care & support to residents living at Byrnhill Grove, our Registered Care Home in Ventnor. You will promote residents independence, safety, health and wellbeing demonstrating the core values of the organisation. You will work as part of a rota covering early mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. You must be physically able to undertake manual handling and you will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Services check. As a Care Worker, youll have a hands-on approach to caring for our elderly residents. Youll be flexible to respond to their individual needs, assisting them with intimate personal care when required and ensuring their environment is safe and secure, following health and safety requirements and carrying out care plans and risk assessments. What you'll have: No experience necessary full training and guidance will be given A good level of written and verbal communication skills You demonstrate empathy, compassion and patience Able to adapt to working environments A willingness and ability to train towards an NVQ 2 in Care You hold at least 5 GCSE passes at grade C or above (or equivalent, Grade 9-5) including Maths and English The location Byrnhill Grove is a residential care home in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight. The home cares for elderly people. It can be easily reached by public transport and is located centrally in Ventnor.
