Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 senior Radiographer to join our radiology department based in CT.
CT Service Information
The CT service covers four sites: King George and Queen’s (providing acute and elective scanning) and Barking Community Hospital and St George’s in Hornchurch (elective scanning on a modular unit).
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a good communicator and team player.
* Work independently and within a team, taking the lead in organising the day‑to‑day running within the modality.
* Provide a safe, efficient, high‑quality imaging service in accordance with department and Trust protocols.
* Maintain and develop high standards of patient care for all users of imaging services.
* Support the Imaging Department in achieving departmental and Trust objectives.
* Supervise and advise junior staff, students and assistant practitioners.
Working Hours & Flexibility
Work flexibly across weekdays/weekends and participate in the out‑of‑hours standby rota, as the department operates 7 days a week.
Contract
This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, with the actual duration adjusted to account for time taken to advertise, hire and finalise pre‑employment checks. The contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 12 months.
