On behalf of our client, we’re looking for a Teleoperation Control Engineer to help shape the future of human–robot interaction. This is a unique opportunity to join a cutting-edge robotics team developing intuitive control systems that bridge the gap between human intelligence and advanced humanoid robots.
You’ll design and implement real-time teleoperation pipelines that allow human operators to guide, teach, and refine robot behaviours, fuelling continuous learning and model improvement. This role combines hands-on robotics work, system integration, and creative problem-solving at the intersection of hardware, software, and AI.
💡 What You’ll Be Doing
 * Designing and developing low-latency teleoperation interfaces for humanoid robots in manipulation and mobility scenarios
 * Building a scalable teleop architecture that works across multiple robotic platforms
 * Integrating input devices such as VR controllers, gloves, motion capture systems, and haptic devices
 * Translating high-frequency operator inputs into smooth, natural robot movements
 * Creating tools and workflows to enhance operator training and demonstration efficiency, both in simulation and on real hardware
 * Blending human input with autonomy to achieve semi-autonomous operation and shared control
 * Developing visualisation tools for intuitive remote control and monitoring
 * Collaborating with hardware and perception teams to align teleop features with system design
 * Conducting performance testing and reliability validation on physical robot systems
🧠 What We’re Looking For
 * MSc or PhD in Robotics, Computer Engineering, HCI, or related field
 * 5+ years’ experience in robotics with a strong focus on teleoperation and human–robot interfaces
 * Solid programming skills in C++ and Python, with experience in ROS/ROS2 and real-time control systems
 * Hands-on experience working with robotic hardware (humanoid, dexterous, or mobile platforms)
 * Strong understanding of kinematics, motion control, and system integration
 * Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and software design skills
🌟 Bonus Points For
 * Experience with data collection for imitation learning or behaviour cloning
 * Knowledge of shared autonomy, intent inference, or assistive control systems
 * Familiarity with simulation tools like Isaac Gym, Mujoco, or Unity
 * Passion for enhancing the human–robot experience through thoughtful design and innovation
If you’re excited by the idea of enabling robots to learn directly from human intuition and want to work on groundbreaking projects in humanoid robotics, we’d love to hear from you.
