👋 We’re Hiring a Solutions Architect – AXP
📍 Location: Hybrid - UK - Regular onsite collaboration expected in either Southampton/London (UK)
💸 Salary: 70,000 GBP - 80,000 GBP
✈️ Travel: to client sites may be required (approx. 1–2 times per week depending on project)
The AXP Solutions Architect is responsible for shaping, designing, and governing customer-specific solutions built on the Alliants Experience Platform (AXP).
This includes functional and technical design, integration architecture, and enhancement patterns that allow customers to get the most out of AXP while ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure, and aligned to the Alliants product roadmap.
You will work directly with global hospitality brands and internal teams to translate business needs into clear, scalable AXP extensions across:
* Unified Messaging (Smooch → Twilio/Direct Provider migration)
* Payments (TokenEx, Adyen, Apple Pay, PSP routing, S2R)
* Multi-PMS integrations (OPERA OHIP, on-premise, Shiji, Dormakaba/Vostio, key provisioning)
* Guest Journey (GWA, pre-arrival flows, check-in/check-out, IDV, ETA, forms, onboarding)
* Vendor Portal, Services, Experiences, and API extensions
* Data residency, compliance, and security models
This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Delivery, and Client Strategy and is critical for ensuring that AXP’s extensibility is used correctly and that client outcomes are delivered with quality, clarity, and predictability.

Job Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Strong experience as a Solutions Architect or Technical Lead within a SaaS or complex integration environment.
* Demonstrable experience designing API-driven, cloud-native solutions.
* Proven ability to lead architecture and discovery sessions with enterprise clients.
* Experience with at least one of:
o Customer platforms (web, mobile, staff apps)
o Messaging platforms (Smooch, Twilio, WhatsApp, Meta APIs)
o Payment orchestration (Adyen, TokenEx, Apple Pay)
o PMS integrations (OPERA OHIP, hospitality APIs)
* Strong documentation skills: diagrams, data models, sequence flows, acceptance criteria.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, scaling SaaS organisation with multi-stream delivery.
Desirable Skills
* Experience working within Hospitality Tech, Travel, E-commerce, or similar domains.
* Experience with Ruby, Node.js, or similar backend stacks.
* Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
* Awareness of ISO27001, GDPR, PDPL, and global data residency considerations.
* Previous involvement in architectural governance or design review boards.

Job Responsibilities
Client-Facing Solution Design
* Engage directly with clients to understand business goals, property operations, guest journey needs, and integration requirements.
* Lead discovery workshops for new AXP features, enhancements, and integrations.
* Translate requirements into AXP-aligned solution designs, ensuring reuse of existing platform services and patterns where possible.
* Produce end-to-end solution architecture documents, including sequence diagrams, data flows, interface contracts, and configuration models.
AXP Platform Architecture & Enhancements
* Design extensible, secure, and scalable enhancements to AXP (API, backend, messaging, payments, web app, staff app).
* Ensure designs align with:
o AXP product roadmap
o V-Model & Delivery Mandate
o Alliants security, PDPL, GDPR, ISO27001, and data residency requirements
o Alliants design-first and test-first engineering standards
* Assess technical feasibility, sequencing, integration impacts, and platform constraints.
Integration Architecture
* Own the architecture for integrations with hospitality systems including:
o PMS (OPERA OHIP, on-premise, Shiji, StayNTouch)
o Payment providers (Adyen, FreedomPay, TokenEx, Apple Pay, PSP routing)
o Identity & verification (Incode, passports, ID capture)
o CRM, CDP, SSO, and external APIs
* Ensure data mapping, sync flows, webhook behaviour, error handling, and retry logic follow AXP best practices.
Delivery Governance & Technical Leadership
* Support project managers and delivery leads in estimating roadmap and client scopes.
* Provide technical oversight during implementation, ensuring development aligns with approved architecture.
* Collaborate with Engineering Leads to ensure solution quality, test coverage, and operational readiness.
* Support QA and UAT phases by ensuring requirements traceability from design → build → test → release.
Platform Quality, Security & Compliance
* Ensure client solutions adhere to Alliants ISMS, data privacy standards, and platform boundaries.
* Champion secure-by-design practices across integrations, data flows, and authentication.
* Contribute to architectural governance, design patterns, and platform guardrails.
Stakeholder Communication
* Clearly articulate solution approaches to both technical and non-technical audiences (client stakeholders, PMs, engineers, operations).
* Present architecture decisions, risks, and trade-offs with clarity and simplicity.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
* Stay current with hospitality tech ecosystem (Oracle, Shiji, Dormakaba/Vostio, payment innovations, messaging providers).
* Recommend platform and process improvements based on client patterns and emerging technologies.
* Contribute to Alliants’ internal architectural documentation and reusable accelerators.
