The Role
Derbyshire County Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join their busy Children & Families Team in Derbyshire. This is a frontline Child Protection role within a fast-paced environment, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding vulnerable children and supporting families through complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities
1. Managing a varied caseload of children subject to Child in Need, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings.
2. Undertaking comprehensive assessments and developing outcome-focused care plans.
3. Preparing high-quality reports for Court and representing the Local Authority in legal proceedings.
4. Working in partnership with multi-agency professionals to ensure coordinated and effective support.
5. Maintaining accurate, timely case recordings in line with statutory requirements.
Requirements
6. Experience: Minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience in Children's Services.
7. Court Work: Proven experience with Care Proceedings and sound knowledge of legal processes.
8. Registration: Active Social Work England registration.
9. Skills: Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing abilities.
