We are excited to offer an opportunity for an inspirational and enthusiastic English Lecturer to join our friendly and hard-working team. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching on our GCSE and Functional Skills (FS) English courses to students aged 16-18 year olds.
Day-to-day of the role of an English Lecturer:
* Deliver engaging and innovative lessons to GCSE and FS English students, ensuring high levels of student achievement.
* Act as a personal tutor, promoting and tracking student attendance and engagement.
* Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development, and review activities within the English department.
* Work closely with the Programme Manager and other team members to drive continuous improvement in teaching practices and student outcomes.
* Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages student-led learning and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the English Lecturer post:
* Capability to deliver both FS and GCSE English courses.
* Minimum qualification of an A Level in English Language; a Degree in English is strongly preferred.
* Proven experience in teaching both adult students and 16-18 year olds.
* Strong commitment to innovative and student-focused teaching.
