We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Manchester, working as an English and Maths Teacher. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

Responsibilities
 * To deliver English and Maths sessions to small groups of learners in the prison
 * Track record of creating stimulating, vibrant environments which are conducive to learning and motivational for learners
Qualifications
 * Teaching qualification and where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months
 * Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
 * Effective interpersonal and communication skills
 * Ability to motivate and enthuse learners
 * Organisational skills to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets
 * Positive team working
 * Track record of achievement of quality targets
 * Track record of producing accurate and timely reports

HMP Manchester is a Category A and B men's prison in Manchester, England. Established in 1868 and designed by Alfred Waterhouse, it is known for its iconic ventilation tower and long-standing role as a high-security facility. HMP Manchester serves as a local prison for remanded prisoners awaiting trial and sentencing, as well as those serving long-term sentences and is committed to rehabilitation, offering educational programs, vocational training, and support services aimed at reducing reoffending.
