Overview
The Directorate of Commercial Services is seeking to appoint a Conference Coordinator Officer within the Conference Department.
Responsibilities
* Selling, planning and organising all aspects of internal and external customer event bookings,
* Working closely with other departments within the University such as Chartwells (caterers), Residences and Sport
* Managing existing and new client budgets and raising invoices
* Promoting, planning and organising all aspects of the summer conference business, including residential Language Schools at Brunel University London
Qualifications
* Previous experience in event management and coordination or similar
* Strong general education qualification or proven experience of working in an office environment delivering high quality customer service
* Computer literate with good database experience; ability to work independently and as part of a team
* High level of self-motivation and ability to drive excellent customer service with a can-do attitude; professional demeanor for client-facing work
* Ability to meet or exceed targets and to work within the department’s policies and procedures

* Location: Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus
* Salary: Grade 6 from £34,145 to £35,990 inclusive of London Weighting, with potential to progress to £38,638 per annum
* Hours: Full-time at 35 hours per week (occasional evening and weekend working year-round)
* Contract Type: Permanent
