About the Role:
We are seeking experienced and dedicated General Practitioners to support healthcare services within prison settings across Haverigg, Durham, and Liverpool. This is an opportunity to deliver high-quality primary care in a secure and structured environment, working alongside a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide general medical services including chronic disease management, urgent care, and health assessments
* Deliver care with a focus on mental health, substance misuse, and long-term condition management
* Work collaboratively with nursing, mental health, and allied health professionals
* Promote health and wellbeing through screening and education
Requirements:
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and license to practise
* Experience in secure or complex care environments preferred, but not essential
* Must be eligible for or hold current prison clearance (we can assist with the process)
* Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
