Senior Reward Analyst (Remote)
Salary: £35,000 – £41,500
Reports to: Senior Consultant
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Who We Are
3R Strategy is one of the UK’s leading reward consultancies driven by a clear vision: to create a future where organisations can attract and retain their best talent through pay transparency.
We work with corporate, charity and public sector clients across the UK, Europe and beyond, supporting them on reward strategy, job evaluation, salary benchmarking, pay equity, and EU Pay Transparency Directive readiness.
Our Culture
Our culture is built on five core values that shape everything we do:
• Trust: We develop ethical relationships based on transparency
• Kindness: We treat others as we want to be treated
• Innovation: We create value by taking calculated risks and learning from mistakes
• Collaboration: We support each other, emphasising collective success
• Excellence: We always strive to be better versions of ourselves
While we work remotely, we have built strong connections through regular Teams catch-ups and our quarterly London in-person meet-ups, which blend strategic planning with team bonding. You're likely to find yourself discussing brand new processes and team objectives one minute, and challenging colleagues to ping pong or quiz boxing the next!
The Opportunity
This is a senior analytical role at the heart of our client work. Reward consulting is a data-rich discipline, and we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with numbers, building models, spotting patterns in the data, testing assumptions and turning complex datasets into clear, actionable insight for our clients.
And, ideally, you’ll also be able to provide a view on what the numbers mean and extract key insights for our team and clients.
Working alongside our consultants, you will own the analysis on a wide range of reward projects, applying judgement and bringing fresh ideas to how we solve client challenges.
What You'll Do
• Take ownership of the analytical workstream on client projects for job evaluation, salary benchmarking, pay structure design, gender pay gap analysis, and pay transparency
• Build, maintain and refine Excel-based models for cost impact, scenario testing and what-if analysis, applying judgement to the assumptions and design of those models
• Interpret data and draw out the implications for the client, recommending a clear course of action rather than presenting numbers in isolation
• Translate technical analysis into structured, client-ready outputs (slide decks, summary tables) that an audience without a reward background can follow
• Apply job evaluation methodologies to assess, level and grade roles consistently
• Conduct salary benchmarking using established survey datasets, applying judgement to job matching and market positioning
• Contribute to client deliverables and, where appropriate, to client meetings and presentations
• Identify opportunities to improve our analytical methods, templates and ways of working
• Work independently to plan and deliver your own workload across multiple projects, with the support of the wider team
What You'll Bring
Essential
• Practical experience in reward, with a confident understanding of pay and reward fundamentals
• Advanced Excel skills, including comfort with complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, large datasets and scenario modelling
• Strong data analysis skills, with a track record of interpreting findings and recommending outcomes rather than only producing the numbers
• Working knowledge of job evaluation principles and methodologies
• Working knowledge of salary benchmarking approaches
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical analysis in a clear, structured way to a non-technical audience
• Strong attention to detail and a personal standard for accurate, well-presented work
• The ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines independently
• A proactive, improvement-oriented mindset, someone who notices where things could be better and proposes ideas to make them so
Desirable
• Exposure to one or more recognised job evaluation methodologies (for example WTW, Radford, Mercer IPE, Korn Ferry Hay)
• Experience working with multiple salary survey providers and benchmarking sources
• Familiarity with gender pay gap reporting or wider pay equity analysis
• Awareness of the EU Pay Transparency Directive or other emerging pay transparency regulation
What We Offer
• A fair and competitive salary
• Participation in our profit-share bonus scheme
• Unlimited holiday
• Life insurance & Health cash plan
• Wellbeing benefits, including access to our YuLife wellness app
• Internal coaching and access to formal reward training
• Annual Learning & Development budget
Location and Working Pattern
This is a remote role. To be successful, you will need to:
• Be based in the UK
Travel to London once per quarter for team meetings and social activities
