We have a full-time maternity cover opportunity for an experienced Business Support Assistant. This will be a Fixed Term Contract for External Candidates or a Secondment for internal candidates within Kent County Council, with approval from their current line manager. This role is within BMCR, part of the Human Resources & Organisation Development division in the Deputy Chief Executive's Department.
We are a dynamic team committed to continuous improvement through automation and innovation. Our activities include managing salary sacrifice schemes and coordinating Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests for the division. We support various teams across the Human Resources & Organisational Development function.
The role requires excellent organisation and communication skills. You should be able to proactively manage your workload, respond to urgent requests and deadlines, and have strong administrative and IT skills. The ability to prioritise work and confidently liaise with the public, professionals, and organisations as a point of contact is essential. The work is diverse and engaging, requiring an organised and innovative approach to contribute positively to the team.
Applicants should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and an interest in automation and tools like Power Automate. We seek someone innovative, willing to share ideas on improving our service delivery.
