Job Description:

Head of Group Reporting

Leicester (Hybrid working available)

Bellrock Group are currently searching for a Head of Group Reporting. You will be r esponsible for leading on the internal and external reporting requirements of the organisation and ensuring a robust financial control framework and systems are in place and documented. Full responsibility for audit, VAT & Tax matters. This role is a key part of the Finance Leadership Team, driving improvement in controls and efficiency across the group.

Key Responsibilities:

* Review of the financial governance and controls across the Bellrock Group and making recommendations for improvement to ensure appropriate and implementing change where needed.
* Control of the Bellrock Balance Sheet, ensuring full accountability or all balances across the various finance teams in the business.
* Preparation and group consolidation and consolidated financial statements for audit.
* Preparation of other audit opinion subsidiary company financial statements.
* Preparation of non-audit opinion subsidiary company financial statements.
* Responsible for ensuring all HMRC and foreign taxes are filed and paid on time. This includes but is not limited to; Corporation Tax, VAT, CIS, PSA, Social Security, Class 1A.
* Overall management and key contact for the group audit.
* Overall management of the financial accounts team (team of 5).
* Month end Balance Sheet reconciliations.
* Maintaining ledger integrity and being a superuser for the finance and accounting system.
* Accounting for senior debt and intercompany loans.
* Ensuring accounting and tax legislation is followed and adhered to.
* Implementing significant changes in accounting law, such IFRS 16 and the VAT reverse charge.
* Internal expert for accounting and tax queries from the wider finance team, leaning on external support where required.
* Ad-hoc queries as required by the Head of Finance and CFO.
* Weekly investor reporting.
* Ensuring the development and high-quality output of the central financial accounts.
* Assisting with the onboarding and integration of new acquisitions as required.

Skills & experience:

* The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant ACA, CIMA or ACCA.
* Technically strong, with experience of Group consolidations and acquisition accounting.
* Comfortable running and motivating a central finance team, being hands on and also running project work as required.
* Enthusiastic, driven and self-motivated.
* Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are essential.
* Resilient and cash focused.
* Confident and comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders.
* Reliability responsible and dependable.
* Independence - able to manage own workload with minimum supervision.
* Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
* Attention to detail job requires being accurate in interpreting and communicating commercial details. Accurate data input requirements on internal and external works management systems.
* Possess an understanding of the demands related to working in a busy small accounting team.
* Possess energy and enthusiasm with a 'can do' positive attitude .
